Two multi-story buildings within Hyderabad’s prominent IT Park met their end through the use of implosion technology on a recent Saturday. This demolition marked the beginning of a new chapter, as Mindspace Business Parks REIT strategically employed implosion technology to remove two aging structures situated within Mindspace Madhapur. Remarkably, these nearly two-decade-old buildings were safely and efficiently dismantled in a mere 6-8 seconds.
The purpose behind this demolition was to clear the path for a visionary and sustainable development encompassing an impressive 1.6 million square feet, as conveyed by the company in an official statement. Anticipated for completion by the third quarter of the fiscal year 2027, this project represents a significant step forward.
Mindspace REIT entrusted the demolition task to the capable professionals at Edifice Engineering, who were awarded the contract for this precise operation. Edifice Engineering, in turn, collaborated with Jet Demolition, an engineering and technology partner based in South Africa, to execute the implosion.
Video clips capturing the controlled demolitions quickly circulated across social media, showcasing the precision and expertise involved in the process. Situated at the heart of Hyderabad Information Technology and Engineering Consultancy (Hitech) City, this IT Park serves as a hub for numerous industry giants and boasts the presence of a luxurious five-star hotel.
