Following the surgery, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his wishes for Sadhguru’s speedy recovery.
The Isha Foundation revealed that Sadhguru had been experiencing persistent headaches for the past four weeks but continued his usual activities until the pain escalated dramatically on March 15. Seeking medical help, he consulted with Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospitals, who advised an immediate MRI scan.
The MRI results were alarming, showing significant bleeding in Sadhguru’s brain, with two instances of bleeding detected, one approximately three weeks prior and another just days before the MRI.
On March 17, Sadhguru’s neurological condition worsened rapidly, leading to a decline in consciousness levels. Responding promptly, a team of doctors, including Dr. Vinit Suri, Dr. Pranav Kumar, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr. S. Chatterjee, performed emergency surgery to stop the bleeding within hours of his admission.
Following the surgery, Sadhguru was successfully removed from the ventilator, showing positive signs of recovery. He has been steadily improving, with enhancements observed in his brain function, overall health, and vital signs.
The news of Sadhguru’s successful surgery and ongoing recovery has brought relief to his followers and well-wishers worldwide. The Isha Foundation continues to provide updates on his progress, expressing gratitude for the support and prayers received during this challenging period.
